BPT Rice

BPT is a medium grain. It is also known as Sona Masoori. It is mostly cultivated in the states of Andhra Pradesh and Karnataka. It is a South Indian variety of Sona Masoori and is popularly known Samba Masoori, BPT 5204, HMT and Jeeraka Sala. In Telugu it is called Bangaru Theegalu meaning Golden Ivy. It is lightweight and aromatic.
